2. AI HALLUCINATION & ACCURACY RISKS
What Is AI Hallucination?
AI "hallucination" occurs when an AI model:
- Invents data that doesn't exist in your trades
- Claims patterns without sufficient evidence
- Makes confident-sounding but false statements
- Misinterprets trade data or metadata
Real Examples of Hallucinations
- "Trade_47 entered SOL at $145" (Trade 47 was ETH at $2800, not SOL)
- "Your best token is DOGE" (You never traded DOGE in uploaded data)
- "You win 70% of Tuesday trades" (You had only 1 Tuesday trade)
- "Your average win is $500" (Your actual average is $250)
Why This Happens
- AI trains on massive datasets and sometimes fabricates details
- AI can misinterpret your trade data or notes
- AI may extrapolate beyond the data available
- AI doesn't always understand context or nuance
How We Mitigate Hallucination
We've implemented:
- Validation Layer: AI outputs are fact-checked against your actual trade data
- Confidence Thresholds: AI won't claim patterns with <70% confidence
- Data Completeness Checks: AI acknowledges when data is incomplete
- "Verify" Button: You can flag inaccurate claims, which we review
However, we CANNOT guarantee hallucinations won't happen. Always verify AI claims against your actual trade data.
3. DATA LIMITATIONS & GAPS
Incomplete Trade History
- AI can only analyze trades you've manually uploaded or auto-imported
- If you've traded for 2 years but only uploaded 6 months of trades, AI won't see the bigger picture
- Missing data = incomplete analysis
Incomplete Trade Records
- AI relies on data you provide for each trade
- If you don't record all details (entry price, exit price, token, date), AI can't analyze those trades accurately
- Incomplete records = less reliable analysis
Survivorship Bias
- AI only analyzes closed trades
- It does NOT see:
- Open positions (still in trade)
- Liquidated positions (stopped out 100%)
- Abandoned positions (never closed)
- Result: If you liquidate trades often, your actual success rate may be much lower than AI reports
Insufficient Sample Size
- With only 10 trades, patterns are weak and unreliable
- AI may claim patterns that are just coincidence
- General rule: You need 50+ trades for reliable patterns

5. NO FINANCIAL PREDICTIONS
AI Does NOT Predict Markets
Important: MyTradeLog does NOT forecast:
- Token prices going up or down
- Market trends
- Volatility changes
- When to enter or exit trades
- Which tokens will pump or dump
Any claims that past analysis predicts future performance are false and risky.
Past Performance ≠ Future Results
- Historical patterns do NOT guarantee future success
- Markets change; what worked before may not work again
- New regulations, market structure changes, and sentiment shifts invalidate old patterns
6. CRYPTOCURRENCY & TRADING RISKS
Extreme Volatility
- Cryptocurrency prices can swing 20-50% in hours
- You can lose your entire investment quickly

Liquidation Risk
- On leveraged trades (perps, margin), a small price move = instant liquidation

- MyTradeLog does NOT track liquidations well if you don't manually log them

- Sending funds to the wrong address = permanent loss

- Your favorite token or exchange might be banned overnight
